.CHECK LOCATION OF POST BRACKET AND FILING CLAMP

bst001.gif (1752 bytes)

For even feeding, the saw must be pulled (not pushed) through the filing clamp by the action of the feed finger. Place the filing clamp between the sharpener and the automatic post bracket, as close as is practical to the frame of the sharpener. The filing clamp should provide lateral support to the saw, but not bind it.

The saw should be supported by at least four points:

  • The saw carriage on the sharpener,
  • The automatic post bracket in line at the front and,
  • By at least two hand-adjusted post brackets in line with the back feed mechanism on the opposite side of the saw loop.
