PERFORM DAILY

1. Brush off accumulated emery dust and saw steel from all outside surfaces. Never clean by blowing down a sharpener with compressed air: this practice can damage the machine and may be hazardous for the operator and others in the area.

2. Wipe clean and lightly lubricate all exposed screws. A dry, non-abrasive lubricant, such as a molybdenum compound, works well since the dry lube does not hold the emery dust in a grinding solution.

3. Oil the wheel adjusting screw pocket, trunnion shaft and wheel adjusting screw nut.
