| KNIFE GRINDERS |
| Simonds knife grinders are designed to operate as simply
as possible with a minimum number of wear parts. Key components and
wear areas are "overbuilt" for long life. With many features
for precision and safety, they are easy to understand, use, and maintain
in the field. Three types of knife grinders are available: |
Horizontal Spindle Floor Model Knife Grinders -
chipper knife grinders at affordable prices, these units are designed
to meet
the production requirements of major sawmills or satellite chip
plants and are engineered to grind "by the numbers". Three units
with 60", 72" and 84" capacity accommodate knives up
to 7" wide and offer fixturing for "Wing", "Step", "P" and
other non-conventional chipper knives. Optional equipment ensures
you can get the horizontal spindle knife grinder to meet your needs.

 |
Vertical Spindle Bench Model Knife Grinders -
designed to meet the tough demands of planning mills and saw mills,
these four
units (40", 48", 60" and 64") provide superior
accuracy and great reliability. Each is very versatile and will accommodate
knives up to 1/2" thick and 5" wide. New standard features
include electronic variable speed drive, electronic variable stroke
length, and a more powerful 5 HP spindle motor. Optional equipment
allows you to adapt these grinders to meet your needs.
|
| Chip-N-Saw® Knife Grinders - the industry standard
for accuracy and speed. Quick adjust knife seats accommodate both
old and new knives side by side while maintaining optimum cutting
geometry. The single point diamond profile dresser guarantees accurate
wheel shape again and again. Offered with either 12 knife or 16 knife
capacity, the standard "C" grinders are for curve top knives
only, whereas the "CF" models can accommodate curve and
flat top knives. |
