Filing Clamps for Band and Gang Saws

Armstrong offers filing clamps to accommodate a complete range of band and sash gang saws. The Model 58-B-60 is a single height filing clamp, specifically designed to handle band saws over 10" wide and/or longer than 34’. Armstrong’s 58-B-32 offers adjustable height control for smaller bands. For gang saws, the 58-G is quickly adjusted to match the width and then locked into position.

The convenient clamping handle opens the jaws wide for easy loading and unloading. The jaw is counter-balanced by a coil spring for smooth handling. Clamping pressures is controlled by the operator. The clamping handle is used to positively set the jaws to the exact "tightness" desired.

Armstrong filing clamps incorporate rigid, solid steel construction to guarantee durability and longevity in the filing room. The latest design includes a tool shelf to keep the tools you use most, easily accessible. Smooth, straight jaws provide:

  • lateral support to the saw during swaging and shaping.
  • a well-clamped area for measuring slide clearance.
  • assistance in lining up the saw teeth going into a profile grinder, side grinder or automatic swager.
